I do the same thing. I tried wiring the wastegate open, but it was easy to see and that was no good. I ended up just keeping my foot off the gas as I drove it around town. I have a 97 with OBDII.
Brian PS - I also spliced my ballast resistors into my injector harnes and mounted the resistor plate off the valve cover bolts. I choose to replace my injectors and harness as a set. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Simon Whitworth Sent: Monday, September 15, 2008 8:46 AM To: Shaun Bogan Cc: Miata Power List Subject: Re: Preventing boost on an FM-II On Mon, Sep 15, 2008 at 8:40 AM, Shaun Bogan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > ANY boost? With the turbo still attached to the engine? Yes, with the turbo still attached I would like to generate as little boost as possible (ideally none). Basically I need to run the car with stock ECU and injectors and the AFM strapped back on for a day or so. I could probably just be very light with my right foot to prevent ever getting into boost, but if there is some way of limiting (or eliminating) the boost, that would be ideal.
