Gotcha. I could speculate, but I really don't know what would happen, so I'm bowing out of the conversation... :) Mine is an OBD-I and I'm taking it in for emissions for the first time this week. We'll see what happens. It's pretty low so I'm hoping I'm DQ'd for ground clearance. That happens in MD. If the bay you have to pull in through has rollers, you might be able to pull off the same thing, but I don't know how it works in other states, esp CA.
Good luck. It's a 97 so it's OBD-II, which means I can't leave the Link in there. That's no biggie, I swapped the injectors and ECU, that was easy enough. I was hoping to not have to pull the whole turbo & manifold (I had a monumental battle with the EGR tube last time which I don't want to have to repeat).
