We use the Dyno Scan software and have been very happy with it. The latest
improvements include lots of fuel tracking measurements. You would probably
like those.

I have been looking at trying a different unit that is much less expensive.
I found it on e-bay. I have not done much research on it though.

Subject: I'm buying a ScanGauge-II tonight (I think - talk me out of it)

I have three OBD-II cars to take care of and I do not have anything to read
codes with. I also have a big interest in seeing how driving at different
speeds affect MPG as well as a general need to tinker with things. I think a
ScanGauge-II would be a nice toy for me to play with but I have not looked
at all the other devices out there. While I am not opposed to carrying a
laptop around with me (hooked to the OBD-II port) from time to time I do not
know if I want to be tied down to always using it when I mess with the cars
computer. Anyone have any good advice for me? I know we have discussed this
before but I need more data before I throw down my cash. Thanks!

FWIW, I see the SG2 is $170 shipped from the manufacture.
