We had a 3 cylinder Chevy Metro for around 8 years. One of the best cars I have ever owned. My wife got it when it was brand new and the oil didn't even get changed in the first few years (we weren't married at the time and I didn't know women wouldn't take care of that stuff). I popped the oil cap one time and it looked like peanut butter in there. Even with that abuse we only got rid of it when it hit around 100K and the heater core dumped in the floorboard. I should have never sold the thing and have regretted it ever since. The only thing we ever did to it was changed the clutch out (which was the size of a coffee can lid). I'd trade my Miata for another one right now but they are impossible to find.
