That's just it...I don't see the point in paying so much for so little car. By the time the thing breaks down, you probably haven't saved much unless you're driving hundreds of miles a week--and not one of those miles spent in anything near comfortable. Quite frankly, gas prices just aren't to the point where I'd even think about angering a spouse to get a crappy little econobox that just happens to get high MPG. That said, keep in mind that I also already own a Miata, a 99 Civic that still pulls well over 30mpg with over 176k on the clock (it's already crappy), as well as my wife's '05 Altima (which, I've been recently informed, gets priority on garage space should we eventually buy a house...).
