I thought the P5 was a great car, esp with a turbo. It did get torque-steery with power and it was a plow on the autocross track. Fantastic, fun daily driver, though. Teri was not happy when I turned it into an M3. I've been told by someone who ought to know (Dan Pedroza, who has raced both s/c and turbo Minis) that the turbo car has more torque steer and they liked the earlier car better. I'm generally more of a turbo guy, but we'll see how this one is. The turbos were too expensive, anyway.

As soon as it's a Protege, people get all passionate about how much FWD kinda sucks (except in the snow). Just an observation. GENERATION GAP anyone? in the last generation gap we had parents and kids fighting over the merits of Richard M Nixon and Vietnam's role in stopping the march of communism. outdoor dope smoking and impromptu rock concerts in the sun on one side, and stuffy hard working "old people" (over 30) wielding their disdain on the other. todays version, miata vs protege. when it comes right down to it, i guess we're all really just "blowin in the wind" :) ________________________________ From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Bill Cardell Sent: Tuesday, October 07, 2008 11:02 PM To: Matt Goertz; [email protected] Subject: RE: Bucket list Larry speaks some truth. Was it technical issues that killed it? Or just lack of market?
