My cousin and I were driving his sister's Pinto 30 years ago from her
wedding to the reception. He ran over a cinder block and poked a hole
in the oil pan. Fully drained the oil in about two blocks of driving.
It didn't move further under its own power.

Years ago when I was working on the radio, a buddy of mine from a
Classic Rock station invited me to come to one of their events. At the
local roundy-round track (Tri City, near Saginaw, MI), they took a
couple of "rice burners" for what they billed as "The Burning Of The
Rice." They had a Honda Accord & a Toyota of some sort...drained the
coolant & oil from them and drove them until they stopped.

It took nearly 15 minutes before they crapped out!

It reminds me of the synthetic oil TV commercial a few years ago where
they drained the oil out of a Viper and ran a lap around the track and
then extolled the virtues of their fantastic oil.

It's still not as funny as that Civic they poured water into after they
drained the oil. I think they were able to do donuts on it for a good
14min or so before it finally died--including a couple hydro-lock
events!

Video of a Crown Vic on the RRE dyno with oil and coolant both drained.
It ran for 7 and a half minutes under load. Ford FTW! I wonder if that
was Dino oil or synthetic.
