I've known for a while that the rebuilt slave cylinder (I bought it already
rebuilt) I put on the car 6 months ago needed rebuilt again. I ordered a
couple of rebuild kits from Finish Line and as I drove home today without a
clutch I figured now would be a good time to finally get around to doing it.
Well, I rebuilt an old slave I had laying around and when I got under the
car to pull the leaking one off I noticed that there was no fluid at all in
the boot. Hmmm, maybe it was the master so I looked under the hood and
didn't see any fluid there (I leak brake fluid too <G> but I didn't see any
fluid running down the fire wall. I replaced the rubber clutch line with a
braided SS one 6 months ago when I did the slave so I checked those fittings
too (they were dry). SOOOO, I am now getting ready to drive around a bit to
see if I can figure out where my fluid is going. I stuffed some newspaper
under the master (to make drips easy to see) and wiped the slave push rod
off so wetness would be apparent. Anything else I need to do or check?
Anyone ever have a hard to diagnose clutch leak? I'm now leaning toward a
leaky fluid reservoir but I just don't know. It was wet but I have spilled
so much fluid on it from filling it once a week for the past 2 months that I
cannot say if it is the problem or not. Any ideas?

BTW, anyone have a good source for master rebuild kits? I wouldn't mind
having a few of them around. There has been a strange rash of masters dying
around here lately.
