I've been having a few issues with my recently installed FMII kit, all of which seem to point to the Link ECU. After inspecting the circuit board, I've noticed that two traces on the circuit board are cut. Can anyone take a look at their 94-95 Link and let me know if you have identical cuts on yours? I'm trying to determine if these are supposed to be there, or if these are "custom" modifications from the previous owner. I discussed with Keith @ FM, and some of the Link boards were modified to work in particular model year cars, so it's possible these trace cuts are correct.
Here is a link to a picture with the two cut traces circled in red (the cuts themselves look like little white dots in the picture; they are in the "3 o'clock" position near the edge of the circle). You can zoom in on the cuts to get a better view: http://picasaweb.google.com/nickt93/FMIITurboKit#5296360339480020882 The first cut (upper right) appears to be on the trace that FM instructs you to cut for WBO2 installation in a 90-93 car (mine is a 95). That's on page 2 of the manual here: http://flyinmiata.com/support/instructions/ecu/AEM_WBO2_sensor_gauge_type.pdf Just for reference, here are the issues I am having: 1) Link won't datalog with DLL, 2) Knock Sensor error - reads "255" at all times, 3) ECU doesn't seem to be activating the fuel pump relay (not sure if this one is ECU-related or not, because this appeared a few weeks after install and after the car was running properly). Any help is greatly appreciated.
