Both are symptoms of a vacuum leak.

  Subject: 99 FM2 problem.

  OK,

I'll try to be as specific as possible.

Issue: Getting a P171 (lean code)and P507 (high RPM over 15 seconds) code
daily on my 1999 FM2 with Link Piggy back.

Occurs when coming to a stop usually from an off ramp from highway.

RPM lingers around 1500 or for about 10-15 seconds, and then falls to 1200
and sometimes will drop back to the 850/900 range.

What I've done so far to try to fix it:

Changed the front/rear O2 sensors, fuel filter, and checked all the vac lines
with WD40.

Idle was adjusted just last week (by my mechanic) using the jumper and set to
850-900rpm.

Retightened all hose clamps. No known exhaust leaks.

What do you guys think might be causing these issues? Idle code should
happen after it was just adjusted. Lean condition code only happens when
idling, not when on the gas. Lingering high RPM related to Lean code? Anyone
else run into this?

Car specs: - Note: Car is in CA, and I am trying to pass smog. Won't pass
now b/c of constant CEL codes appearing.

99 FM2 system with O2 signal modifier, 4 auxillary fuel injectors off intake
manifold, Mitsubishi BOV. FM exhaust, Stock mid pipe with OEM cat (for CARB
Smog purposes).

  Thanks,

  Jeremy
