While towing a trailer with kayaks and bicycles (up a mountain) it

now leaking fluid near the cap. Unfortunately there is a small hole

Is the reservoir available as a separate part? I've seen rebuilds that
come without the bottle - I just need the bottle.

UP? Going UP hill caused a problem?
FWIW if your car is an older model, you'd probably need a new MC or a
rebuild before long anyway.
I have a 1995, and when it started losing fluid, I couldn't find a leak,
then after adding about a half gallon of fluid...well... I discovered that it
was leaking at a seal and draining INTO the car, pooling under the carpet.
I bought an inexpensive rebuild kit, replaced the seal, and it has been
leak-free ever since.
