The plan, at least for the moment, it to put the replacement engine into the
97 and have it bone stock. If the car is ever sold, it'll be OBDII compliant
and the potential new owner will have full disclosure of the 2 year older
engine.

Once my stepson has the car, if he wants to mod it, then it'll be up to him.

Either way, whether the car stays in LA or not, it will be compliant with
emissions. Even though it may be illegal in CA as far as the year swap.

    Gotta have the connections and ECU to SE the '97 crank angle sensor, and
the '95 has no plug-in under the dash, so depending on where one is, that
could be problematic.
