This eventually got sorted and the car is back on the road today ("going
like the clappers" apparently) with new waterpump and timing belt. The
timing belt had skipped several teeth, could his nephews playing with the
starter really have caused the belt to jump what seemed like around
90degrees round the cam? No sign of any damage or marks on the belt..
