Anyone know if the 323 heater completely closes the coolant circuit when turned 
to cold (as opposed to the miata)?
If this is the case then, with a closed thermostat, all the coolant would need 
to go through the small nipple, correct?
IOW, if would be ok to simply block the heater lines on a 1.8 miatat with no 
ill effects for the coolant circuit / waterpump etc.
