Speed differential is evil and it must be stopped! A couple of years ago I was
driving down Lookout Mountain a little too fast in the '96 R. I hit a patch of
gravel. The guard rail had the audacity to not be moving at the same speed as
my Miata. Smoosh!
Nope I wasn't being an idiot. My bravado didn't write a check my talent
couldn't cash. I was a victim of speed differential!

I agree with that. Speed differential is the cause of collisions.
However, I suspect the speed was probably stupidly excessive for a public road.
Cars like that feed big egos and bring out stupidity in people. All it takes is
one mistake and see what happens...
