FWIW, I am a Motec dealer and harness builder if it helps . . .

I will tell you that the car is out of our typical motorsports market. Therefore, our wires will be abnormally clean, tidy, serviceable etc. And the engine control will be excellent. But it comes with a price tradeoff.

Hey guys,
I have suddenly inherited a hot rod project and thought some of you might be able to help me find some info. This isn't Miata related, so if you want to reply directly to me that's fine.

It's a long story, but my wife and her sister just got a '49 Plymouth Sedan. It was their Dad's car, and it's about 1/2 way through a resto-mod hot rod conversion. They know virtually nothing about cars.... so when it got dropped off, they both looked at me and said "make it go".

The chassis looks great - the builder really went overboard. It's got a Moser fabricated 4-link rear end, modern dual a-arm front end, huge disks all around... it's built for speed. It's got a 5.7 Truck Hemi and trans bolted in place.

What I need help with is that there is no wiring, no ECU, and no pedal cluster. - Painless Wiring doesn't seem to have any Mopar stuff... so I'm not sure where to turn for an engine harness.

- If I use a stock ECU, it's probably going to have integrated security, ABS, Traction Control, etc, that this car can't use. Is there anyone that can mod the ECU to turn those things off? I'd rather not go with an aftermarket ECU if I can help it.

- the trans tunnel and firewall have all been fabricated, so the original pedal cluster won't fit (they are Beatle-style floor hinged pedals anyway). I've never done an aftermarket pedal cluster into a custom vehicle... any advice on where to start on that? It'll need an electronic throttle, if that makes any difference.

So, that's what I need help figuring out. Any advice is appreciated!
