I have been contemplating installing a roll bar in my 95 for months. Surfing "Miata porn" (As my better half calls it) the other day I decided to commit and order one. It's funny how all the previous planning and research goes out the window when it comes time to buy. Yes - I ordered the wrong bar!
I ordered a Hard Dog Ace from Bethania and it arrived last Thursday. Bringing the box in off my porch I noticed that something seemed different. This box was sitting flat. I remember the front legs on the bar I wanted being longer. Opening the box I realized my error. I wanted a "Hard Core" but ordered the "Ace". I ordered the Hard Dog Ace with double diagonals, a rear brace, high density pad and vinyl cover. The cost with shipping was $630. Before I look into shipping it back to Bethania, and paying for shipping and restocking, I thought I would offer it to my new Miata Power friends. So, if you are in the Northern California area and have been thinking about buying a Hard Dog bar for your Miata, I may have a deal for you. I will be calling the folks at Bethania tomorrow to see what it will take to correct my mistake and hopefully have them start building an M2 Hard Core. If you are interested, shoot me an email soon.
