Which leads us to another issue, and that is the "new" blooey is exactly the same as the old blooey, right? Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought Mr. DeMartin was considering having different areas of discussion on the blooey like Susan has on the Shutdown Board (i.e. folders for "Other Music," and general off topic discussion).
A seperate folder for this stupid contest would obviously eliminate all the clutter it is creating, and get the discussion back to Brian Wilson. Not only that, but our European friends are now beginning to feel alienated because of this "National Contest," and I don't blame them one bit. Any posts or threads even worth reading are getting drowned out by thread after contest thread. Let's face it, we all know the blooey is nothing more than an advertising vehicle for Brian (i.e. Melinda) - no matter what anybody says. I'm sure that Melinda is obviously counting on all the new faces on the board who are begging to meet Brian, purchase TLOS. But, one day the contest will be over, and it's back to the inanity of it all. Hey Phil, Lisa & I warmed up Kennedy's for everybody last night. Saw a great show at the Opera House - Lyle Lovett & John Hiatt, and we stopped there for dinner before. We'll see ya there next month - right?
