As you know, I only have two TV channels, so I've missed out on ALL of the hoopla since Michael became room temperature, and gladly so. Therefore, I admit, I did watch the funeral/service/show/concert. It was wierd. I, too, wondered if he was really in the box (skeptic #1). I thought Berry Gordy and Smokey Robinson had funny stories, and Magic Johnson also told a funny story about Mike eating Kentucky Fried Chicken. I felt bad for Brooke Shields - she had a tough time. I also thought the last comments by Jackson's daughter, Paris, were rehearsed (skeptic #2). After all the glorifying, they needed to make him seem "normal."
Of the 9 Jackson kids, oldest daughter, Rebbie, seemed to be missing from all the goings on. Never being one of the performing Jacksons, she's never mentioned anywhere. I imagine she was there, but she wasn't shown, and didn't seem to be onstage at the end. I'm still waiting for the "April Fools" part of all this...although you just knew that he wasn't going to be somebody to live to be a ripe old age. The legal kid wranglings begin next Monday. Also, we should know by next week just how he died. After that, the nicities will be over. We're going to be hearing about Michael for quite awhile, and I think a lot of it will be vicious. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Diamond Headz" group.
