Is this the same one that Jeff Lynne (he said it was basically a chorus) was working on a couple years ago ? Sounds like the "pretend" Beatles to me...take an existing (post Beatles) Lennon demo chorus, Paul writes some (new) verses, tack posthumous George on there somehow, and get Ringo to keep time = Instant Beatles. Sort of like instant coffee, no?
Is Macca this desparate to be relevent again?!? And the fans will eat it up, no doubt. I didn't dislike "Free As a Bird", or "Real Love"....but were they REALLY up to Beatles standards?
