I've been away from the computer for a few days, and had no idea we had a new member. Welcome, Phil...and I hope you stick around.
Since I started this thread, let me make it clear that my opinions and impressions about the Bird, Sue and Stu are strictly my own. I don't care for them, and that's it. I have "known" them, in the cyberworld, for 8 years, and in that time, they all have proven themselves to be narcissistic and self-aggrandizing. Aside from the net, like Sue and Stu, I've also met the Bird in person, so these people aren't just names I've read over and over throughout the 8 years. In person, I was even less impressed with them, if that can be possible. I've heard all the stories about Sue and Stu's generosity, and that's wonderful. That doesn't change my opinion about them. Stu has attacked me on numerous occasions on the Blooey, for making comments that smack too close to the heart for his comfort. That's not why I have an issue with him. Stu can have a crack at me any time he wants. Have at it. I guess what chaps my ass is their need to be noticed, to be a part of the scene, their need to ingratiate and "force" themselves on Brian - someone who obviously doesn't need, or deserve, that sort of thing. The Bird is a scam artist and a criminal. Period. She doesn't "know" Brian any more than I do, and I've never met him (nor do I want to - Why on Earth would Brian Wilson want to meet me?). For that matter, Sue and Stu don't know him either, although their demeanor on the Blooey would suggest otherwise...and they seem to thrive on that. When the camera zeroed in on them towards the end of the Pet Sounds Live DVD, I thought I was going to flip. I guess I should hate the camera man for that. Whatever. Phil, I am entitled to my opinion about them, just as you are. You like them; I don't. Good enough. As for stabbing them in the back, I don't see it. My opinions of them aren't going to harm them in any way. I'm sure they don't give a shit what I think of them, and vice versa. It's all good. For what it's worth, I'm glad you decided to post here. We have invited others here from the Blooey on numerous occasions: all have declined. However, for only having about a dozen regular posters here, we get a lot of traffic, and that means people are reading and paying attention.
