It is the Hollywood Bowl. I believe the shot is from a show on
October 19, 1963 (erroneously in Badham's book as Nov. 1, 1963) known
as Y-Day. The Beach Boys were introduced by Art Linkletter, and sang
Little Deuce Coupe, In My Room, Be True To Your School and Surfer
Girl. They closed by singing the sponsor radio station's call letters
(KFWB) in their Freshmen-style arrangement. For those of you who have
the boot "Lei'd In Hawaii Rehearsal," this short Oct. 19th performance
is on that disc -- Tracks 14-20. For those who don't have it, e-mail
