Yeah, 40 years already! August 9th (Tate) and 10th (LaBianca), 1969. Instead of fuckin' around and killing people, they should have been on the road, heading east to Woodstock, New York. That 40 year anniversary is on August 15th, 16th and 17th! Wow! Time flies when you're wasted!
My great aunt was an L.A. police officer at the time of the Tate/ LaBianca killings, and worked at the Sybil Brand jail where the girls were kept during the trial. She later told me that she had never met such animalistic human beings in all her years at the jail. She said the girls were absolute pigs, especially Susan Atkins. As for Woodstock, I wish someone would shell out the bucks and re- release the movie on multiple discs with all of the performers and their sets included. I picked up Hendrix's entire Woodstock performance on disc, and would love it if all the other acts would do the same. I'd love to see the performances by Creedence, Mountain, Canned Heat, and all the others that didn't even make the initial movie cut.
