Cancer: Bee Gees Singer 'Not Good,' Friend Says

Nearly a month after an alarmingly frail Robin Gibb cancelled a meeting
with British Prime Minister David Cameron, news has surfaced that the Bee
Gees singer is battling liver cancer.

As U.K. newspaper the Sunday Mirror reports, Gibb received the diagnosis
several months ago, and on Tuesday (Nov. 15), he was rushed to the hospital
after an emergency 999 call was made from his mansion. He returned home
after five hours, but a friend told the Mirror the 61-year-old pop legend
   remains seriously ill.

"Robin is not good and there is a lot of concern for him," the source
said. "You can use your wealth to call in the best experts but sometimes no
amount of fame, prestige and money can change things when it comes to
   cancer."

Gibb -- who founded the Bee Gees alongside brothers Maurice and Barry
and has sold more than 200 million records in a career spanning more than
five decades -- was rushed to the hospital last month with severe abdominal
pains. He was treated for an inflamed colon, and last year, he underwent
surgery for a blocked intestine, the same ailment that killed Maurice, his
twin, in 2003, bringing the group to an end.

Barry and the brothers' 91-year-old mother, Barbara, have flown to
England from the United States, and Robin is also being looked after by his
wife Dwina, a druid priestess who is apparently trying to convince her
husband to try Native American remedies.

"This incredible Indian tribe introduced Robin and I to something called
Spider Medicine that apparently contains properties that can help you get
well from certain untreatable illnesses," Dwina said.<<<
