as far as NEW or very recent artists go (that were nominated here), i especially like mumford and sons. alot. VERY worth checking out. i also like the decemberists (their first two albums tho, and their most recent one a bit less). i really like death cab for cutie! how dare they name themselves that? well, i spoke to a fairly young guy in my neighborhood about music and he said they were his fave. i asked him if he knew where their band name came from and he didn't. i may have called him a philistine. but i told him where it came from and he watched magical mystery tour (which he'd never heard of) and he went berserk talking about it when i saw him a bit later. and i really love that band too! they wear their quirks on their sleeves, but in a good way. these are definately 3 nominated bands worth checking out!
