(Press release:) Since they exploded onto the scene with Leisure, in 1991, Britpop masterminds Blur, led by musical shapeshifter Damon Albarn, have remained one of the most influential bands of the past two decades. Now, after reuniting, dropping a pair of tracks, and gearing up for a performance at the Olympic Games, the iconic band is dropping a jaw- dropping release.
For the first time in its storied history, Blur is releasing a jam- packed box set, titled Blur 21. And wow is it ever stacked with goodies. What does the box set include? Oh, just all seven of the band’s studio albums, 65 unreleased tracks, three DVDs, a collector’s edition book stocked with rare and unseen photos, and a limited edition 7-inch vinyl featuring a track recorded under the band’s original name, Seymour. And if that wasn’t enough there’s also a new interview with the band and digital downloads for the albums and bonus material. $150.
