That said...I got tired of the way 'new' music radio has turfed the still living out onto the garbage pile. This is spite of the FACT that old artists still lead the lists of top earners. Who decided that people would rather hear One Direction instead of Bob Seger? Who proclaimed that John Kay, Ray Davies, Bonnie Raitt and Brian Wilson have gone to meet their makers but that Ariana Grande, Nickleback and the Beebs are all mature people need to hear? Idiots. That's who. Fuckin idiots. So I've introduced a new feature...7 days a week. Right after the news at noon...It's 'The Old Codgers Double-Shot'. It opens with a classic song...not necessarily on that's been BURNT out. For example with Ray Davies...I'd play Victoria to open the segment. Then I tack on a newer [21st century] recording from the same key artist[s]. There are dozens and dozens and dozens more to choose from. Katy Perry fans'll just have to wait.
