Yep, that sums it up for me really. Obviously a very talented guy but just left me cold I'm afraid. Bowie's demise was much more of a shock and loss for me but even then the outpouring was just overwhelming. I wasn't his friend [surprise!] or relative so while I was sad that he left us, and I spun a few favourite DB discs, that was it for me. I wasn't grief stricken. I just don't seem to have the 'connection' to these guys and gals that some have. Facebook is full of "my life has been totally changed", "He was the greatest musician ever and I don't know what I'm going to do now", "worldwide music has been completely ruined" etc etc. Music is a part of my life [an important one no doubt] but it is only a part. Anyway, onwards!
