I reciently bought a usb/fw ext. hd for my computer's. i bought it on the fact the box said it was cross platform and that would work great for me.
so I followed the directions, partitioned it on a windows 2k system, then formated on a mac os 9.1 in dos. worked great both systems. then one of my macs is deul boot 9.1/10.1.5. i booted it in to ten to use a program I have then and not in nine. the drive was hooked up, and when it was done booting, it wanted to format the disk and dos was not an optition. does X not support dos disk? can you make it support dos if it doesn't? what kind of optitions do i have? i want to keep the drive cross platform, but i will need to it work on ten in the future. i plan on keeping my music/sample library on it and soon final scratch will be made for macs, and live is already out for X i have not upgraded yet. scotto lansing, mi. -- MichiMac is sponsored by Dan Knight of <http://lowendmac.com/>. / Buy books, CDs, videos, and more from Amazon.com \ / <http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/lowendmac> \ Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> MichiMac list info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/michimac.html> Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/michimac%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Macintosh?
