Hey all-- I tried, without success, to see if Calvin College would put a spare satellite dish to use to view the MacWorld keynote. That's the day before January classes start up and they didn't have the resources for such an event, although it seemed to the media director to be a project worth considering in the future.
That said, is there anyone on the list who might know a place in West Michigan who has either C or Ku band satellite capability where the keynote could be viewed? Dan, could you put a note on the Lowendmac page asking if people with such capability could host a viewing--there are still people with backyard dishes, for instance. The QT live streaming is nearly useless so a downlink site is the best alternative. Any ideas? -- Pax, Pastor Mac Made on a Macintosh, of course.
