Dear Tom,
yes, providing pthreads libs is part of our plan to better support
threading on MS Windows platform. Please note that threading is enabled on
by default in the recent MICO and to keep it this way is also our intention
for 2.3.12 release. So for all Win32/VC++ users: please test that MICO
builds automatically and smooth with threading enabled. Hint: use `idl
--config' to see if the compiled MICO is multi-threaded or not.
Dear Karel,
I tried to build a Debug version of MICO. I have seen that PThread support is
not beeing built in debug version but in release version. Mixing Debug and
release versions causes run-time check errors with microsoft compiler. I have
made debug version of Pthread by hand and encountered another problem. At the
moment I'm not really sure what the problem is, but it is again a debug
version problem since there is an assert at closing connections.
Is Sorin still the maintainer for Windows version? Does he plan to work on
Debug version for 2.3.12?
Dear Tom,
yes, Sorin is our Win32 port maintainer and he is the author of the
framework which allowed to automatically enable pthread support on
Windows.
Perhaps you guys can both discuss this issue on [email protected]
mailing list?
Thanks,
Karel
