Do the CORBA Event and Naming Services use fixed ports, or do they need access to all unprivileged ports? I have a number of servers in a DMZ, which need to operate as push consumers, receiving their events from suppliers behind a firewall. Would I need something like Object Securitys StoneWall, or is this only necessary for "conventional" RPC like CORBA applications?
