Hi,
If you use the latest release, which is available for download, you have to do 
read
README-WIN32 file , from the source root .
You have to install the environment variables of VSTUDIO by either executing 
the vsvars32.bat
(from VSTUDIO) or by setting them up manually
(not recommended).

Then, nmake /f makefile.win32 will do the job.
