Hi Gurminder, I've seen a couple of approaches to this:
TAO's IIOP over HTTP approach (HTIOP) looks really interesting: http://tinyurl.com/hd9l4 I've heard that the performance is pretty good as well. and then there is seemingly dead project: http://soap2corba.sourceforge.net/ that might have some good ideas as well. Of course, there is always bi-directional GIOP as well if it was implemented in MICO. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Gurminder Singh Sent: Monday, February 20, 2006 9:02 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [mico-devel] HTTP tunneling support Hi, I am developing an application (client/server) which has its server written in java and supports both IIOP and SOAP channel s for communication. I have introduced soap channel to overcome the problem faced by IIOP when the clients are on the other side of firewall. My requirement is to develop a client which can possibly switch between channels (IIOP/SOAP) dynamically. Another alternative is to provide HTTP tunneling. My approach to tackle the solution is to develop a library which can possibly tunnel iiop into HTTP. Does any one have worked in this area if yes then please guide. _______________________________________________ Mico-devel mailing list [email protected] http://www.mico.org/mailman/listinfo/mico-devel
