Hello!

My distro is OpenSuse 11 with updated kernel 2.6.25.20-11-default
I have bought webcam with SN9C201 chip
(http://www.excline.com/download/software/45-Acies.html), so after a
few minutes with google I installed microdia opensuse drivers, it
didn't work with messages below. I download source rpm and recompiled
it with my current kernel. It didn't help :-(.

dmesg info:

usb 2-6: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 16
usb 2-6: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
microdia: Microdia USB 2.0 Webcam - 0C45:627C plugged-in.
microdia: Detected SN9C20X Bridge
microdia: Could not assign sensor: Please report to [email protected] .
microdia: Device Init failed (-22)!
usb_microdia_driver: probe of 2-6:1.0 failed with error -22
usb 2-6: New USB device found, idVendor=0c45, idProduct=627c
usb 2-6: New USB device strings: Mfr=0, Product=1, SerialNumber=0
usb 2-6: Product: USB20 Camera

According to windows inf file:

%USBPCamDesc% =    SN.USBPCam,USB\VID_0c45&PID_627c             ;
SN9C201 + HV7131R

I have sensor HV7131R

Can you help me run this webcam?

Thanks for your report.

This is the situation:
Up until now no one has reported your webcam (0c45:627c). Therefore the driver does not yet support it. However: If you provide us with logs of your webcams windows driver as described here:
http://groups.google.com/group/microdia/web/usb-sniffing-on-windows
we should be able to add support for your webcam pretty fast.

If you have any further questions, please ask.
