The driver for the 627b camera (ThinkPad Z61t built-in) is muchly improved, but the frame rate is still frustratingly low.
The camera comes up with auto-exposure turned on, and it immediately cranks itself to 0xFF. Even then, the image is dark, and I see about three to four frames per second. If I point the camera directly at a light source, the exposure will crank down and the frame rate will go up a bit, but it's still chunky. Though I've never tried this thing under Windows, I feel certain the camera is capable of higher frame rates than this. Any suggestions on where I could look or what I could tweak to increase frame rate?
