 Do we need libv4l in order to use Cheese? I didn't need it some weeks
ago in Ubuntu Intrepid. After updating to Jaunty (currently RC) I get
the same result as Christopher with cheese:

Anyway I tried this and got the same result:

$ LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l2convert.so cheese

Mplayer works well:

$ LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l2convert.so mplayer tv:// -tv
driver=v4l2:width=640:height=480:fps=25:device=/dev/video0 -vo x11

Gstreamer-properties says (using v4l2): Video for Linux 2 (v4l2): Could
not negotiate format

Looking at the logs everything seems OK:
