Yes, there is a key command to get back to the site's
"home": ctrl+shift+space

But Opera's support isn't for just any rel="home" link in
the body of a page.  It's specifically for a <link> in the
<head> section with rel="home" which is half what's
mentioned on the uf wiki page[1].
