know what? accidental I just had a chat with Jon Aizen from Dapper and I explained microformats to him, because he had not heard of them, yet!
(allways a surprise to me, if somebody hasn't hear of them at all) It would be very easy for him to use the field and group names, you can define and nest within Dapper by yourself, for the class names of the html output of dapper. Tatatataaaaaa - there you are: Than everybody could create a microformated html output of every singel website - that would be great, wouldn't it? I am only waiting for a feasibilty check from his site - but this can't be rocketscience for him, I think ... ... so I am excited ... I will keep you informed ;) On 8/23/06, Chris Messina <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
Ah. And then the limitations of my kode-foo started to show. Ok, I'll take your word for it. The moment I can drag and drop data from one site to another using Dapper, I'll be happy. Does Dapper take the place of a Greasemonkey script of could you use Dapper to normalize data across any site -- so effectively, those holdouts who aren't using microformats could be rewritten with Dapper to offer microformatted content so that extensions like Tails would work even if they're not natively using microformats?
