This is the key.  Just taking an existing format and translating them to
class names is not enough - as the folks working on citations will tell you.

I don't think the domains are equivalent though. Citation metadata
covers a whole lot of ground (basically everything referenced on
Wikipedia), and  has a long legacy. Not so with project descriptions,
and I think DOAP is pretty much the only game in town there (and
really well designed).
