Thanks Drew,

I'd be interested to hear people's thoughts as to whether it is useful, and what needs changing/fixing

Looks great, John. Very useful for visualising the process.

I've approached the uf process in detail a couple of times.

Once when working on the tagcloud stuff (and despite linking each step of the way to the process, still seem to have effed it up.)

So, take two was for my bok, where we decided a chapter on the process was important for contextualizing, despite the significant majority of people interested in ufs being unlikely to ever develop a uf - the process is a key part of what makes something a microformat, and when I speak it is often question #1 - "how does something become a uf"?

Actually, recently, for the workshop I am involved in at IA Summit, I felt it important to cover the process, and so revisited the process page.

I've found each time it some work to really understand the process in detail (hence my original ^&*# up with tagclouds) and even with the flowchart, I am not sure I've got it 100% right :-/

I know it comes up quite a bit, particularly with those interested in proposing a microformat, where we typically refer them off to the process. I hope something visual like this can help a bit. But of course, it has to be right!

thank again
