You're right, but that puts the onus (and the moral responsibility) onto
this community, to respond in a timely manner to, and to adequately
resolve, the accessibility concerns about the abuse of "abbr" raised
here a few weeks ago.
Has anyone taken an in-depth look at how the usage of the abbr tag affects
internet explorer?
As IE doesn't seem to know about the abbr tag, will this affect scripts
parsing the dom on IE browsers?
