I have cross posted this email to microformats new as I believe hAudio
is still in development and any Issues anyone may have with haudio
should really be posted there.

Fair enough.

The recommended use of "position" in hAudio:

is contrary to the good practice, semantic use of ordered lists ("OL").

Position was a late addition because most of the examples we were
studying used tables in the design of their web pages, we also found
that XOXO or OL doesn't work in tables

Is position needed to sequence items, or to signify their position of the track on the original album.

If the former, then surely order in the source code (in a list, table or whatever) should suffice.

If the latter then what's the use case, and which examples support it? Where are the examples of tracks listed out of sequence, in the source code, but with a sequence indicated in content??

so now you can do both, use an ordered list without marking up
"position" and also use hAudio in tables with the ability to markup
position.

I think that providing an alternative to OL in that manner, not to mention encouraging people to use it by having it as an example in the spec, is no better then "p class="heading">
