Demarcating arbitrary content within a page is (as mentioned by all the other responders) exactly the purpose of hAtom. rel-bookmark seems to implicitly handle your URL issues. This is a decent reference [1]. The weakest parts of hAtom right now are the required element issues. Regards, etc...
