I'll review the rest of this work shortly, but the choice to go
plugin is definitely the right one. Gems are not recommended for
extensions like these to Rails. It's more for generic stuff like
database connectors that has use outside of Rails. Plugins are for
stuff that's made solely for Rails.
Ah, okay. The reason I like gems is that there's an easy way to get
a list of available gems. Is there an easy way to list "available"
plug-ins?
I'll try to get my own example posted when I have a chance, hopefully
in time for my in-house demo tomorrow. :-)
