Brian, I don't have any firsthand knowledge of installations in that area but I'm sure there are some.
You might contact Michael Welch at Homepower magazine. He moderates the RE-wrenches listserve and might be able to either post a notice on that list or else give you a few names of RE system installers in your study area who you could contact. But if you're studying potential, aren't your best tools going to be topographic maps and rainfall data? Please keep us updated on your research. I would love to see an academic exploration of the distributed power available from all those small(non-fish bearing) creeks and streams that pour off of every hill and ridge here on the west side of the Cascades. There is a tremendous resource there, and could quickly and cheaply add up to megawatts of production. Easily more than all the grid-tied PV combined. Good luck!
