Belatedly, I read your question below. Don't know now, but I would be grateful to be kept advised if these alternators are able to be preserved for future potential. There are "cascades" all up and down the Cascades and Coast range in Pacific NW and the time is coming. Even water retention in such a region will become advantageous and the advantages will become understood as time moves along. Thanks, MWade
