Stewart
Alan Langworthi set up a Company (initially in the Northern Territory of 
Aust) years ago, that did just this.  It begun with wind, diesel 
systems, then other combinations.   It may have worked with Murdoch Univ 
as partner, at some stage. You would find it on the web, I guess.
