Nando,
I agree with your thinking of two units in parallel for reliabilty. The penstock layout in my power house lends itself to two turbines. What country and what kind of pricing are we talking about? I started to build a crossflow runner about ten years ago (8 inch w 27 blades) but stopped when i couldn't figure out the correct nozzle design/curvature. Do you know of any crossflow experts who i might consult with to finish this project? I do not want to spend a year fabricating something that runs at 40% eff......thanks......Mark ----- Original Message ----- From: Nando To: [email protected] Sent: Sunday, January 16, 2005 10:09 AM Subject: Re: [microhydro] Looking for Turbine Mark: You could get one designed to your site if you want to import it from outside the country at a lower price than acquired in USA. If interested let me know The site's data you provide is good for around 33 or so KW. Some times is best to have two units in parallel to assure long term 100 % available power.
