I am an government affairs and litigation attorney in Washington DC and represent organic interests, from researchers, to the largest and best known organic product companies on down to individual farmers. I served on the National Organic Standards Board for a full 5 year term and currently sit on the NSF committee on organic cosmetics. The green movement underpins my legal practice and I'd like to suggest that your off the grid documentary include food production as well as energy, or at a minimum keep in mind the relationship to being off the energy grid with food production and processing. I can put you in touch with some very self reliant folks, including some with energy generation capabilities. I have a 300 acre farm in Central Va. with a river and several creeks and am very interested in microhydro power. I'd be happy to listen and learn and assist the documentary project in any way I can.
